CALL TO ORDER - STUDY SESSION

A Study Session of the Palm Desert City Council was called to order by Mayor Quintanilla on Monday, May 6, 2024, at 1:00 p.m. in the Council Chamber, City Hall, located at 73-510 Fred Waring Drive, Palm Desert, California.

FISCAL YEAR 2024-25 BUDGET STUDY SESSION – PRESENTATION OF PROPOSED FINANCIAL PLAN AND FIVE-YEAR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENT PROGRAM

Finance Director Chavez narrated a PowerPoint presentation and responded to City Council inquiries. Department directors also reviewed their department budgets as follows:

• Desert Willow Golf Course - General Manager White
• Fire Services - Public Works Director Alvarez, and CalFire Chief Beverlin
• Palm Desert Aquatic Center - Community Facilities Manager Muir
• Library - Director of Library Services Shaffer
• Economic Development - Economic Development Director Ceja
• AIPP, Recycling - Economic Development Deputy Director Lawrence
• Housing - Housing Manager Gonzales
• Law Enforcement - Assistant City Manager Escobedo
